Spookshow Slated For April
Mr. Lobo is hammering out a date with the Crest
Theatre for a Willam Castle-style movie show with gimmicks
and audience participation galore. TheMonsterClub.com
is sponsoring the event and will be putting out a special
companion edition of the Monster News.
Mr. Lobo assists filmmakers of American
Scary
Even if Mr. Lobo's face ends up on the cutting
room floor when this highly anticipated Horror Host documentary
hits Sundance, Mr. Lobo was honored to supply some of his
time to the production by assisting with some of the research on local
TV Horror Host legends.
SFSM show goes to Saturday matinee
The popularity of Cinema Insomnia screenings
at the South Florida Science Museum has prompted management
to move it to a larger Saturday Afternoon audience. Saturday,
January 3rd, the Motorola Theatre was packed for "Voyage To
The Prehistoric Planet". Thanks to curator Dave Baker for
making this event possible. Dave recently has been talking
to UPN stations in the region about picking up our syndicated
version of Cinema Insomnia.
"Bucket Of Blood" and "Gigantis" on DVD+R
For a limited time Mr. Lobo is putting out
the first two DVD's with custom packaging and bonus Lob-O-vision
or Blood-O-Vision goggles. These discs will contain complete
episodes of the syndated versions of the show and have been
digitally remastered. Now you can see and hear every scratch
and video dropout perfectly. DVD+R's work in most machines
and satisfaction is guaranteed. Please contact Mr. Lobo direct
by email if you'd like to be on the waiting list.
EdWoodstock announced for 2004
Reverend Steve founder of the Church Of ed
wood had a dream that one day Woodians will put on a live
music and cinema event called EdWoodstock and that it is
good. In his dream, the Crest Theatre is the perfect venue,
given its Mr. Lobo, Trash Film Orgy, and Sick and Twisted
Animation shows.
Mr. Lobo has been charged by Wood and Reverend
Steve, as a legally canonized saint in the church, to organize
and lend his "marquee" to the event. Mr. Lobo is currently
talking to the Crest about a date in October.
