Beautiful People Everywhere

TV as it was, and should ever be.We've posted the first press release for the partnership with UATV - you can find a link to it (and so much more) on our Media Kit web page... and soon we'll make our latest postcard available for downloading (so it can be printed out and sent to your favorite station's director of programming).

The journey to Hollywood resulted in some great face-time with the dynamos behind Kensforce (now known as Monster Island News) and Cult Movies magazine. We shot footage for your future enrichment and edification, and Mr. Lobo was truly smitten by KAZV 14, the little community powerhouse-that-could nestled in the almonds.

Dr. Heckle... and Mr. Lobo in 2D!

Happy Friday the 13th, Cinsomniacs...

This Sunday at 8 p.m., see the real Mr. Lobo as a special celebrity heckler at comedian Keith Lowell Jensen's shindig, the Hecklers Ball. It'll be at HQ, 1719 25th Street (25th and R Streets, midtown Sacramento) and will feature the low-brow art masterpiece Viva Maria from Louis Malle! To quote Keith, "with celebrity guest hecklers on the microphone and an audience filled with film fanatics Mr. Lobo walks in stereo, though. The Heckler's Ball will raise audience participation to a fine art." A mere five bucks will get you in.

Until then, view an artist's conception of what Mr. Lobo's life could be like... in James Richardson's' "Cinema Insomnia" comic strip. These slices of cartoonology are to be updated regularly, so keep checking back for more monochromatic weirdness. Thanks, James!

4/15/05 Update

Halloween in April?

If you're happy and you know it, show your teeth. As if our update wasn't flashy enough (see next item), it has just been learned that our good friend Jonathan Mumm, the director of Blood Thirst: Legend of the Chupacabras, will be premiering the sequel... tomorrow night (April 16) at Sacramento's Crest Theatre! For more information, get thee hence to Blood Thirst 2.com. Mr. Lobo wouldn't miss it - and he'll come packing copies of the Bigfoot: The Mysterious Monster episode, which of course features an interview with Mr. Mumm.

But maybe you're across the country (or the ocean) and can't hop on a jet anytime you please. Well, we know how that is... and this might make you feel better. For the first time, we present our complete syndication pilot episode (the Season 3 kickoff) here. Free. And it's George A. Romero's classic Night Of The Living Dead.
Several of Mr. Lobo's season 2 "wraps" are included, including an interview with the legendary Cassandra Peterson (also known as Elvira). To enjoy all twelve segments, merely hop on over to our Shows page.

4/3/05 Update

Strangers in the Fright

A legend and a hard-working host."Yeti's Attack" has come and gone, but the weird aftertaste remains. It's laced with the distinct tang of gratitude, and Mr. Lobo wants to share it with the world (so to speak). The T Street Theatre was filled to the brim with 300 discerning revelers. The show surpassed so many expectations that virtual hugs are the only fitting response. Your support is a thing of beauty, the Sacramento Film Festival is a priceless civic asset... and Mr. Lobo appreciates every one of those who participated. That respect is rekindled by the heartening little spike in DVD orders, which helps to make Season 4's episodes arrive that much sooner...

While he would prefer to (uh) haunt the Festival with his enigmatic presence, it seems that Mr. Lobo's immediate public schedule has likely been curtailed by a "sinuister" infection of the holes in his horror-hostly head. Barring some wondrous improvement in this situation, bedrest and plenty of fluids will be the order of the day instead of the schmoozing and aisle-surfing that one would expect.

Because so many Cinsomniacs have been so... unambiguous with their praise, we're crafting a pretty nice update to the Insomniac Mail Sac. Watch this proximity.

And here's a nice little nugget of recognition - a company in New York (known to Mr. Lobo as "Market Number One") is "producing a horror host TV show in the vein of Elvira and Mr. Lobo." No, we're not making this up. Strictly speaking, Mr. Lobo pictures himself as more of an artery than a vein.

Sweet public-domain dreams to all.
