All Your Media Are Belong To Us
It is a distinct pleasure to let you know that Ken Waller's film, 48 Hours Later, has been listed on IMDB. How great is that? He asks those of you who've seen the film to get on over there and vote. Your feedback is needed. Yeah, you.
And check out the interesting name of one of the characters here. Coincidence . . . ?
6/14/04 Update
Lemon-Limelight
Rev. Steve has reported in, and he's very pleased with an interview now available on FilmThreat.com. Mr. Lobo appreciates the mention of CI - and directs your attention to the latest news about EdWoodstock, coming to the Crest Theatre on October 17.
Halloween-Month is always hectic for horror hosts... but Mr. Lobo is excited about Creature Features at Oakland's Parkway Theater. On October 7, he's honored to be sharing the stage with Doktor Goulfinger, Will the Thrill and John Stanley - and two weeks later, it's back to O-town again to host "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" (co-starring Mothra) with Will, the good Doktor... and Bob Wilkins! Check it out, Cinsomniacs!
And just twelve days from now, the Trash Film Orgy kicks off at the Crest, with "Return of the Living Dead." Mr. Lobo has plans to attend, but might not.

Conveniently Stored as 1's And 0's
Mr. Waller (perhaps the most patient one among us, chiefly responsible for the intricate editing and polished camera work which has made Season 3 look much better than it might actually be) has produced more QuickTime clips for hungry Cinsomniacs. An abridged version of our 'In Search of Ancient Astronauts' episode, a WonderCon interview with Chase Masterson and promo clips for our beloved KEJB UPN 43 can now be downloaded from our online Media Kit.

You Like Him... You Really Like Him
We're glad to announce our next live show, "Mr. Lobo's Japanese Sci-Fi SuperShow Mach 2," will be sponsored by [a small cable network]! You'd better not forget to be there, August 21 at Sacramento's Crest Theatre, starting at 10:30 p.m. (not midnight, this time!). The main feature will be "Monster From A Prehistoric Planet" - and you know we'll have excellent CI items to purchase and swag to hand out. Mr. Lobo will hate you forever if you miss this show.
Considerate, wonderful persons have not been failing to send mail to Mr. Lobo, and the newest arrivals can be seen on the new Mail Sac web page.
On Fal.net, you can find Grrrbles, an oddly-named opinion piece on smoking in contemporary cinema.

Air Times There Are Not Forgotten
Hello to all you Cinsomniacs in Louisiana and Arkansas. Get your calendars ready - here's the next few films to top off your Saturday nights on KEJB UPN 43...
June 12 - She-Creature (1956) - A hypnotist dabbles in soul migration, transmogrification, and past-life regression, discovering his assistant evolved from a sea-dwelling crab demon.
June 19 - Superwheels (1978) - The fourth installment in a series of West German "talking car" films, starring a yellow VW Bug named Du-Du. Freewheeling nuns also enter the big race in a two-headed car... apparently named Ca-Ca.
June 26 - Gigantus vs. the Smog Monster (1971) - Japan's King of Monsters goes under his lesser-known pseudonym (to avoid litigation) to protest the fascist industrial fatcats freaking his scene.
July 3 - Wasp Woman (1960) - Susan "Art Imitates Life" Cabot is an aged cover girl-turned-makeup mogul who tries to regenerate her career by regenerating herself, with the aid of royal wasp jelly.

The Drones are Revolting
If you feel like slumming, you're invited to check out an "unpadded" review of The Day After Tomorrow on the Fal.net home page. More saucy candor will be coming, and we're not afraid to throw in our musings about older stuff too.
6/5/04 Update
Easy on the (Hypnotic) Eyes
Good eeee-v'ning. Three enlightening articles have been added (here), and we've added an archived page of older articles so none of the nice things that have been said about Mr. Lobo will be completely forgotten - just the thing for a lonely horror host to read during a long, quiet, reflective night. Also, it's high time you added some (/ more) words of wonderfulness to the CI Forum...
Oh - and you have checked out the newest video clips - right?

Lay Your Hands On These
Guess what? we're now making DVD's of all these Season 3 episodes (two hours each, with our retro commercials and snack-bar films included), with even more shows to come...
GIGANTIS: THE FIRE MONSTER (1955) - Second "Godzilla" feature has the big guy
with a name change and his first giant angry enemy - Angolis. Campy fun good time.
GAMERA SUPER MONSTER (1980) – Three superwomen who work at the mall befriend a small boy and his pet turtle. Together, they battle space pirates who are liberally ripping off George Lucas.
CREATURE (1985) – Low-budget "Alien" knockoff with some soft-reactor-core astronaughtiness, with special effects by the Scotek Brothers (who did the very legitimate knockoff of "Alien"... known as "Aliens").
CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1962) – Accept no remakes. Dear-caught-in-the-headlights Candace Hilligoss can't escape from fate (or the "man"). An inspiration for Tim Burton and M. Night Shyamalan, among too many others.
MONSTER FROM A PREHISTORIC PLANET (1967) – Japanese industrialists steal a baby Pterodactyl which is worshipped by natives of Obelisk Island... who look suspiciously like Japanese people smeared with shoe polish.
GIGANTUS VS. THE SMOG MONSTER (1971) – Japan's King of Monsters goes under his lesser-known pseudonym (to avoid litigation) to protest the fascist industrial fatcats freaking his scene.
SUPERWHEELS (1978) – The fourth installment in a series of West German "talking car" films, starring a yellow VW Bug named Du-Du. Freewheeling nuns also enter the big race in a two-headed car... apparently named Ca-Ca.
DICK TRACY MEETS GRUESOME (1947) – Chester Gould's comic strip is known for its over-the-top mutant criminals like Pruneface, Flattop and the Brow. Unfortunately, the makeup artists' strike of 1947 forced the producers to settle for Boris Karloff with some eyeliner and his hair parted on the wrong side.
They're only US$15.00 each, plus $2.50 shipping (for the first episode or two - buy a whole bunch and we'll discount the shipping charge to whatever is sufficient to cover the cost). As always, none of those diabolical "handling charges." We'll make NTSC VHS copies, upon request - and what the hey, just ask and Mr. Lobo will autograph your purchases. Fair enough?
Get thee hence to Mr. Lobo's Novelty Shop. We're working on online payment mechanisms, and hope to have some very good news on that front before June gets too far along.

Never Break The Chain
Howdy. More wonderful links have been added (here), and we've spruced up the main Information page... just to make everyone's life a little easier. That's just the kind of people we are.

Spook That To Me One More Time
As if the SpookShow wasn't stimulating enough, Mr. Lobo is proud (in his tasteful, refined way) to announce that there will be another show at the Crest this August 21. Yes, it's true!
It will begin earlier in the evening, for those of you on the hook with expensive babysitters. Your input is wanted - what movie should be shown? How about the theme for the show...? Hop on over to the forum and chime in, anonymously if you wish. Help Cinema Insomnia help you.

The Skeleton Sleeps Tonight
Big, sloppy thank-you's to all who attended our SpookShow - and that goes double for the brave contest participants, and at least quadruple for the hard-working prop, sound, video and projection guys... the loyal actors... Cheryl and the whole faithful MonsterClub crew.
As an extra token of Mr. Lobo's appreciation, you can download all the Death Certificates you want from here. Props to you all.
