RIP George A. Romero

It is a sad day, Sleepless Knights. A sad day indeed. Today, we lost a pioneer in the horror film industry who we hold a special place within our hearts. In 1968, a gentleman from Pennsylvania released a monster upon the world. A monster unlike people had ever seen around that time. This man shook millions across the globe for almost over fifty years and counting. This man was George A. Romero.

Night of the Living Dead – ReAnimated from OSI 74 on Vimeo.

We may mourn today, but this week we remember the night he brought the dead back to life on our screens and his other accomplishments and contributions. This week, let us remember him and celebrate his life through his hard work and what he brought into this world. He will be missed and forever treasured by the young and the old, but will forever inspire future generations on how to never give up on one’s dream.
