Mr. Lobo always strives to bring you the strangest things ever put on celluloid. In the early 70’s, the establishment had a latent fear of dirty long haired young people and their wild jungle music taking over the world. Hippies–were happening. But during the cold war era–Spies and Secret Agelancent shows were also amazingly popular. Two of the writers of the hit comedy TV series “Get Smart”–which was already a parody of spy hits like James Bond and The Man From U.N.C.L.E, created Lancelot Link Secret Chimp was an action-adventure/comedy spy series for Saturday mornings, starring a cast of chimpanzees dressed in people clothes and dubbed with human voices.

You may not remember this mind-blowing show because Lancelot-Link-Cover-Art-e1344908283535your brain was protecting itself.

We actually found the shows chimpanzee star living today at a animal sanctuary called the Wildlife Waystation–an animal sanctuary to spend his golden years.

The Pychedelic hippie era was not only about hair and music it was about caring about the planet and the creatures that live on it.
The Organization that now takes care of Tongo, houses and cares for about 400 of Wild Animals and was founded in 1976 by animal activist Martine Colette, who today still serves as it’s director.

At the Wildlife Waystation you’ll find not only primates but tigers and other exotic animals. Not all of the animals are retired performers who need a safe, clean home: Some came from “owners” who were unable to care for them, some were abandoned, surrelanceand tigersndered to the WayStation, Or are saved from research labratories. Many arrive at their new home in poor health and must be cared for by the Waystations staff of veterinarians….So please donate to this worthy cause…
