DOWN THE TUBE!

Mr. Lobo’s official YouTube channel

http://www.youtube.com/user/CinemaInsomniaTV

has been “terminated” by YouTube.

We do think that these shows should be free for you to watch as it is broadcast over the air free and clear to TVs all over the country and that having the shows on YouTube could only help the show. The show will still be viewable on most AMGTV affiliates, THE MONSTER CHANNEL on the web, and the upcoming Roku type internet based television channel ZOMBEE TV.

From the YouTube channel’s launch a year ago, Cinema Insomnia episodes received many claims of copyright infringement. These claims come from dubious sources–competitors, distributors of PUBLIC DOMAIN content, robots that matched our FAIR USE content with another FAIR USE of same content, and AD hogs who hope a claim will allow them to imbed ads on our more popular pages.

Even unfounded and unfair claims will get your channel booted from their miserable service. We had one too many claims and right or wrong CINEMAINSOMNIATV is now deleted.

However, due to a recent acquisition of our old distributor’s remaining stock, we still have about 60 out-of-print DVDs in house that are for sale. This is a great opportunity for those who of you who love the show and would like to own them in a fixed way that can’t be taken away on a corporate whim.

  1. A shame, a damn shame! Hope you can continue with your mission of delivering the best of the worst to us! Greetings from Argentina.

  2. Having watched the show, I first want to say this was a great show. Now, on to You Tube…You Tube, as I have also learned, is The Devil. I have made numerous attempts on numerous occasions to try getting “third party” claims removed from my movies. Heck I had the movie Freaks removed from my page and told I could no longer post movies over 15 minutes. I attempted to email someone, anyone, but there wasn’t a way. It is nearly impossible to talk to a person to let them know that they are wrong. You Tube realize on a bot to find “wrongs” in others movies and this causes problems.

There is also the issue with advertisers who want to use your videos for ads, so they make claims knowing that You Tube will show their ad on you video, even though you set it for no ads.

And of course there’s competitors who wouldn’t want the show on. And if these are other hosts, then shame on them.

Mr. Lobo, you will find a new home, as I had to to. And you will continue to thrive. Until then, as you said, there is always DVD.

  3. It’s a broken system, Mr. Lobo.. and you are not alone in being a victim of it. Internet based news shows get pulled for just reporting on relevant news stories (which featured a fair use video clip).. the idiots even pulled down NASA TV’s video of the JPL team celebrating after a successful MARS landing because it matched a news services “copyrighted” broadcast of the event… (though they did restore it after NASA appealed..)

  4. Your Show rules the airwaves. Such love and respect for the Fans is obvious and for the B~Movie Genre in general. I’ll soon be the proud owner of a DVD of yours. And yes~I will watch it til it ceases to be playable!

  5. LOVE your Show! Stunned to see YouTube crucifying you on the cybercross. Guess they prefer inferior Host Shows instead. I would never have known about you without YouTube! That’s ok. Ordered your SuperArgo Episode. My Favorite One. Carry on, my friend. Hope to be an official Insomniac soon. Respectfully Yours, David

  6. Just as I was geting my friends turned on to CI, too. Well – I guess it’s time to get the ol’ DVD mill cranked up again, Mr. Lobo!
