Episode Guide

DISCLAIMER
A host. Movies. Retro Commercials. Trailers. Interviews. Comedy. Mix well. Serve. CINEMA INSOMNIA is a TV program that is a bit more of a slumber-party than a criterion appreciation of Misunderstood Movies. Mr. Lobo has hosted many more films at live events and other venues, some of these films have been hosted more than once on different or re-edited versions of the show, and unfortunately there are some lost CINEMA INSOMNIA episodes.

THE LIST
The links take you to the shows Internet Movie Date Base information page-Not the Movie’s page. Not all episodes have IMDB Pages yet.
Anyone who can read the end credits of the shows and takes it upon themselves to update the IMDB pages so that we may have more active show links will receive a special place in Movie Nerd Heaven.

DISTRIBUTION HISTORY
The series Cinema Insomnia has beamed on screens all over the country and elsewhere. 22 shows ran on KXTV ABC channel 10 in 2001-2002 and in 2003 18 ran on COX 71 Norfolk VA, MATA 14 in Wisconsin, ACCESS SACRAMENTO 17, 18,and 74, and delivered to many small cable stations nationwide via THE HORROR HOST UNDERGROUND. in 2004 26 commercial broadcast versions of the show were sold to KEJB UPN 23 in Munroe, LA and also picked up for national distribution by a satellite Network UATV.

In 2005, The San Franciso Bay Area got a PBS version from Public TV station KTEH 54 in San Jose, also broadcast on KCAH in Monterrey and Santa Cruz. At the same time in LaPorte, Indiana, a fan sponsored the show on Comcast 99 in Laporte and other parts of Indiana. Mr. Lobo began selling DVD-Rs at conventions and shows from California to Florida. In 2006, Friday Fright Nights at the SOUTH FLORIDA SCIENCE CENTER began screening episodes monthly and Syndication company AMGTV put the FRANKENSTEIN VS THE CREATURE episodes on hundreds of stations and cable systems and MAVTV for Halloween. THE B-MOVIE CHANNEL screened the MONSTER FROM THE PREHISTORIC PLANET episode at the CREST THEATER and other episodes have screened at film festivals.

In 2007 AMGTV began it’s own satellite network and to this day distributes Cinema Insomnia to independent stations and affiliates coast to coast. AMGTV also has it’s own cable company and is on connected TV.

APPREHENSIVE FILMS formerly delivered the shows to AMGTV, AMAZON ON DEMAND, BITORRENT, and other outlets and distributed 25 of the shows on DVD all over the world until 2012.

Shows began streaming on LIVESTREAM in 2010. 2011 marked Chabot TV KCTH in Hayward and THE MONSTER CHANNEL running the show on Saturday nights. Also, 30 two-hour programs were seen on CINEMA INSOMNIA TV, our YOUTUBE CHANNEL until it was wrongly shut down in late 2012  for erroneous copyright claims and I think a couple are on Vimeo.

2013 the show was picked up by the new horror channel ZOM-BEE TV for connected television and is available on ROKU devices. Many episodes are viewable online via LOBOVISION.TV.

In 2014 TESLA WOLF MEDIA and PARANOIA MAGAZINE sponsored a CINEMA INSOMNIA USTREAM channel.

AUTOGRAPHED COPIES OF THE SHOW
Currently we have a new HAUNTED HOUSE SPECIAL DVD in our shop but our older titles are out of print. Mr. Lobo will sign and number them for you until these out of print editions are sold out.

    • Thanks esteban! Not sure if there is an AMGTV affiliate in Arizona. But if you have an inexpensive ROKU player and stream shows to your TV!

  1. Amazing, This is an excellent site and an excellent show. I stumbledupon it ;) Love the ustream channel and plan on sharing the gospel of CINEMA INSOMNIA and Mr. Lobo with all my friends!

  2. I can’t believe I just found this website! I caught this show only once, many years ago. I can’t remember why or how I found it, and I could never seem to find it again. I never forgot the movie (“Santa Claus Conquers the Martians”), but couldn’t remember anything about the show or Mr. Lobo until just now. I’m so happy there’s a bit of a web presence here. Can’t wait to check out some of these episodes!!!

    • Mr. Lobo is always glad to reactive sleeper cells of his insomniacs that have caught the show over the years. CINEMA INSOMNIA was syndicated from coast to coast…any information you can recall will help us find more fans like you. Welcome back, Kassy, and remember “They’re Not Bad Movies–Just Misunderstood!”

  3. Hi,
In approx 2005 I arrived back to the Bay Area from touring Asia. With jet lag, I found the show and it gave me the best laugh! The old commercials from when I was a kid blew me away like Rock’em Sock’em Robots. My wife thought I was out of my mind I was so tickled! I would be overjoyed to get the episode of a Japanese kid in black face. It was some Godzilla knock-off with his mother and old jets. It was so flatly ignorant, the movie so poor, the old commercials just made it all so memorable. Mr. Lobo you never cease to amaze! Other episodes were good but that was so bad it ranks as the best. I am sure fans would understand. All these years later, I never forgot the experience.

    Many Thanks, CM

  4. I loved your shows on KTEH in Santa Rosa, CA. I attended the Sacramento production of “The Undertaker and his Pals.” Is that tape available for sale, likewise “The She Creature.”
Thank You and I hope your show makes it to Albuquerque

    • Pat, The Undertaker And Pals is viewable on this website and Lobovision for free now! Many technical difficulties with the live stuff and even more with the studio stuff–but here it finally is. Mr. Lobo and Dixie WILL will be traveling across country in late January and will be passing through Albuquerque! Maybe we’ll see you! We’re hoping to find a reason to stop other than sleep…we want to meet as many CInsomniacs along the way as possible!

      • Thank you very much for responding. I watch tapes of your show every weekend. This Saturday is “Creature.” Besides the “Undertaker” in Sacramento, I also saw you in El Cerrito with “Frankenstein meets the Wolfman,” and Sacramento again for the Bob Wilkins tribute with “Horror of Party Beach.” My wife, Rita, spoke to Bob Wilkins’ wife. My father-in-law also died of Alzheimer’s. I grew up in Nebraska with Dr. San Guinary. I do have a Wilkins’ tape of “Revenge of the Creature” where John Stanley also appeared. I also saw him in Santa Rosa for a Bob Wilkins “Watch Horror Films, Keep America Strong” tribute. You’re one of the greats. Take care.
        Sincerely, Pat Masters

        • Thanks Loyal CInsomniac! Mr. Lobo appreciates your comments. Bob Wilkins, John Stanley and Dr. Sanguinary started a fire that still burns inside the Children of Creature Features! Mister Lobo would like to believe the best is yet to come…
