It’s March, Sleepless Knights! This month, we are celebrating two special occasions. The first half of this month, we are celebrating the mighty KING KONG making his way back to the big screen. The big question is will this film be misunderstood or become a classic among it’s peers? We shall see when March 10th rolls around.
Since 1933, we’ve had a place in our heart for the colossal ape from Skull Island. The legacy behind the monster has created a mass amount of fans, admirers, and platinum blonde maidens (kidnapped by him, of course) over the years. He may have picked his battles, made guest appearances on the covers of comic books, and much more, but KING KONG reigns supreme among his peers GODZILLA and MOTHRA.
May He continue to Reign for years to come!
The moment March 17th rolls around, though, we are rolling out the proverbial green carpet for the most notorious St. Patrick Day’s villain of all time….THE LEPRECHAUN! He’s mean, he’s sort of green, and he’s here for his pot of gold, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Be prepared for the rest of your march to be filled with cackles, buckles, and this guy searching for anything but lucky charms! Let’s only hope he doesn’t have his pogo stick handy when he comes to visit.
Get ready for March and remember to not touch any gold!

Everyday April is Frankenstein Day! Promote Transplant Awareness! from OSI 74 on Vimeo.
This month holds a very special place in Mr. Lobo’s heart. On both OSI74 and CINEMA INSOMNIA, it is Frankenstein Month/Day/Transplant Awareness Month. For those who have followed closely with Mr. Lobo, you’ll remember last year Mr. Lobo’s son received a kidney from a family friend, making them officially a Frankenstein Family. Transplant donation is truly a life changing event for not only the recipient but also for the donor as well. In honor of this noble and selfless act, April will forever be FRANKENSTEIN MONTH here at CINEMA INSOMNIA.
This month, we’ll be commemorating the many faces of the FRANKENSTEIN monster. Much like Donors giving a piece of themselves to their recipients in order to save their lives, these actors gave life to Frankenstein’s monster and has kept the character alive for decades. From Boris Karloff to Christopher Lee and onward, we will be honoring each actor who has portrayed Frankenstein through photos, video clips, art, and even Cinema Insomnia’s episode featuring FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE (2005). If you have any pictures, posters, fan art, or specific clips you treasure of this creature-post them! Send them to us through the comments or direct message us and we’ll share them! Let’s make this month memorable for all of 2016!
Happy National Donate Life Month! Happy Frankenstein Month!
From MR. LOBO and all of us here at CINEMA INSOMNIA!
Last month, robots roamed the Cinema Insomnia pages. This month things seem a little funny around here. Books are floating, cats are talking, even the movies are strange. Almost as if we were under a spell…..a misunderstood spell. We are under Mr. Lobo’s hypnotic power, but what if it is deeper than that this month? Maybe a witch, perhaps? But which witch?
Witches are one of the most misunderstood characters on film and in life. Sailing through the night on their brooms, the There have also been interesting misunderstood films about them. For instance the notorious THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND BECAME MIXED-UP ZOMBIES (1964).
Yes, that one…stop staring at the mole! It may hypnotize you and turn you into a zombie! She is only one in a long line of characters we will explore this month. Who is your favorite misunderstood witch of all time? Is it this mysterious Estrella? Or Is it someone bigger and badder? How about the Sanderson Sisters?
Open your spell books and send us your pictures, WITCHY themed art, tattoo art, collection of your Witch themed films or figures, or pictures/video of anything you think pertains to the theme and it will be shared on our pages to be seen and enjoyed by all!
If you do not have your own piece of art, check out our ETSY shop and pick up a copy of DIXIE DELLAMORTO LOBO’s creation entitled “HAUNTED LEONA”!Get ready for Bubbles, Toils, and Troubles This Month!
