YIPES! STRIPES! KILLER BUZZ FOR MR. LOBO ON NEW ROKU CHANNEL!

Mister Lobo’s debut on the new Internet based TV channel ZOM-BEE is off to a triumphant start! Friday ZOM-BEE TV channel came to life and to celebrate a Zom-Bee Beauty Pageant sponsored by the channel was held at Mr. Lobo’s California home base during the opening night of the Sacramento Horror Film Festival at the Historic Colonial Theater.

Photographer Leonard Row captured the night in pictures…

A ROKU HD streaming player along with a pleathora of Horror and B-Movie Goodies was given to the woman crowned Miss Zom-Bee Queen 2013!

The Delicate and Decomposed Rosie Murphy was chosen to take that honor by the audience and a panel celebrity judges: Blake Reigle-Director of Beneath the Surface and co-producer or His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday The 13th, Jewelry and costume designer Carly Fornia, Actress and Make-Up artist Marilyn Ghigliotti of Clerks,  and Kevin Tenney director of the 80’s cult masterpiece Night Of The Demons.

Rosie earned her black and yellow stripes and will be an official spokesmodel for the Zom-Bee channel for the calendar year of 2013.  She and her running mates, 2nd place winner Ashley Stratum and 3rd place winner  Ophelia Necro will all appear on New episodes of Cinema Insomnia to help Mr. Lobo present Misunderstood Movies to the Roku surfing masses.

Patrons drooled at the girls and the Roku Player! They gobbled up the Zom-Bee flyers and many we’re excited they could see Mister Lobo on their TVs again since the popular syndicated show had been absent from their local line up for many years! Mr. Lobo jokes on stage while explaining what a Roku is to the curious, “It is a great prize but Rokus are not expensive! You just plug it in. It talks to your TV–and you can use your Internet to stream free programs. You just lie there in your bed with your hot cocoa and your remote control and it’s great. A lot of people are taking their cable boxes to the dump and with good cause! Those guys have gouged us every month for years.”

The very accessible Mr. Lobo has been buried in positive feedback so far. One fan said, “Added the(Zom-Bee) channel this morning. Awesome! And I have a friend who’s buying a Roku just for this channel.” Another said, “How many Roku boxes did you sell this weekend, Mr. Lobo? I bought one for myself today.” Still others uttered “I have a Roku and I’ll be looking for your show, Mr. Lobo…”

Emails  and facebook messages echo the same sentiment…Zom-Bee TV on Roku and Mister Lobo’s Cinema Insomnia are a honey-sweet combination!

  1. This is too cool. Didn’t think we’d be posted anywhere other than Facebook lol. I can’t wait till I get my own Roku box so I can watch my favorite host of horror all the time!
